29. It bothers me that...

I love that speech. I love Nicholson’s delivery.

Then I remember that this is the justification of the movie’s villain. While the speech is rousing, it’s wrong.

We should question how our “freedom” is secured and maintained. To do otherwise justifies anything the military does, as long as they trot out the flag and apple pie.
