This the only reason it's so urgent that Trump goes after Maduro now because a Democrat in office later would just tell the greedy billionaires to take a hike. Any deal now will definitely make sure the billionaires get paid as point number one. This is the same rationale for their Ukraine peace plan, where Trump cronies were literally making concessions on behalf of Ukraine (without Ukraine's permission) in return for personal business deals with Russia.
