Troy Farah: RFK's individualist rhetoric hides a deeper public health threat [View all]

Neat piece by Troy Farah in Salon. I find “anti-establishment” figures like Kennedy the bane of any actually sane anti-establishment. He is the reason I have to quickly say “I am no conspiracy theorist” before I attack anything where I feel that I can’t trust the humans involved and the mainstream isn’t as skeptical yet.

Dr.Fauci dismissed his rubbishy book with an understated “unfortunate”. These frauds made life hell for a man who dedicated his life to public service. I am an animal rights supporter and I thought beaglegate was bullshit. We are factory farming a billion animals and legitimizing “ventilation shutdown” and you are telling me that is a priority and apolitical? No way. It is pure politics and has zero legit concern for animal rights.

All it demonstrated was what I know about these guys-doctors and pis etc-that they are overworked. If we keep increasing our population net, you still cannot churn out doctors, scientists and educators at the same clip. Though the push will probably be to shill an Idiocracy style doctorbot or teacherbot .

I am happy to see Troy Farah is still around. I was sad earlier this year to see his Lab Notes get closed. He and Chauncey DeVega write the best pieces Salon has.

“‘Trusting the experts’ is not a feature of science,” Kennedy says in The Atlantic story. “It’s not a feature of democracy. It’s a feature of totalitarianism and religion.”

Rich words given the overt totalitarianism happening under Trump’s watch. Kennedy is conveniently ignoring the real mass surveillance in this country, and it’s not vaccines. Every major social media platform is owned by the richest people in history, who suck up so much data on you that they can weaponize it to sway elections and dull us with doomscrolling. Flock automatic license plate readers are being used to monitor protests and enable ICE raids. American citizens are now regularly detained by homeland security adviser Stephen Miller’s masked police force, while migrants are whisked away to dungeon-like prisons in El Salvador. Yeah, the Department of Homeland Security is threatening anyone who dares film them snatching people, but “trusting the experts” is pure Stalinism. Kennedy is no fool — he knows that his efforts are more antithetical to democracy than he lets on.

And we knew all of Kennedy’s corruption long before he was appointed.
