Bottom line is that crime has been an issue in America since its founding. It ebbs and flows in an almost identical wave with the economy.

I guess you could eliminate all crime. There is very little crime in Singapore, but they'll beat you ass with a cane if you drop a gum wrapper on the street.

Of course, the real crime that harms and murders millions, occurs in the halls of Congress, the White House, on Wall Street and in corporate boardrooms.
