Under Obama, the debt rose by under $9 trillion in 8 years. And he inherited a brutal economy, a banking crisis, and an auto industry in shambles. Absent those issues it was really more like $6 trillion.
With Trump in office, $12.9 trillion in 5 years. And, ge did nothing but complain how Obama ran up the debt.
Of course, finding ways to take on new debt was all he's ever done.
