However, I would challenge anyone who's bothered by these numbers (as we should be) to also stop using the gig economy. If you use Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, etc., you are helping companies whose workers sometimes aren't even considered employees and who almost certainly don't get benefits. I know people who consistently push for a higher minimum wage, press for more housing, but then take Uber use DoorDash, and stay at Airbnbs, all without wiggling an eyelash.
