Like I said, I too doubt any detente will last.

I think this move is more about getting Traitor on the record that he feels NY and NYC are handling things fine atm, for the inevitable court case ahead.

I’d almost speculate that Hochul and Mamdani coordinated this but I’m guessing she’s staying in the shadows during this transition.

Time will tell
