There are more than 50,000 container ships operating globally at any given time.

China had over 6 million manufacturing enterprises as of late 2024, while the United States had approximately 608,000 manufacturing businesses as of early 2021. The total number of factories worldwide is estimated to be in the millions.

The total number of power plants in the world range from about 30,000 to 62,500 or more.
