Saturday

Had to do with William Faulkner climbing in Emily Dickinson's sepulchre to steal her ghosts. She wanted her poems burned. He wanted to dig up her corpse to write a Gothic Ghost story.

The idea of Faulkner spreading lime around Miss Emily's poems seems to me to have become somewhat metaphorical for the deliberate ghosting of truth we have been experiencing of late.
