At a minimum they'll use this to criminalize all funding to organizations supporting Democrats and progressive causes. And then probably even outlaw the entire Democratic Party altogether by designating it a terrorist organization. I don't see any way this can be stopped. We could try to fight this in court but the Supreme Court has pretty much decided that Trump is allowed to do whatever he wants. Most Americans won't even care because it doesn't affect them directly.
