Hannah Brown, who goes by the handle @.hannahbrown on the app, was best known for her comedic skits about working in the service industry.

That changed when another TikTok user shared a photo of Brown at the Kirk memorial to the platform earlier this week.

The image, which appeared to be taken from a broadcast of the memorial, showed Brown sitting in the front row of one section looking tearful.
A video of TikTok user @bradleychicago reacting to the photo went viral soon after, amassing more than 4 million views and counting.

Though she rarely mentions politics online, many fans believed Brown had liberal or left-leaning views and were shocked to discover she had attended the memorial.

Brown responded to the backlash in a video posted on Wednesday, where she rejected the speculation about her political views.
"First of all, I am not MAGA. I was not at a MAGA rally," she said.
