The discharge petition will now get the final signature it needed to force it to the floor of the House for a vote. Assuming it passes (not a guarantee since it depends on Boebert, Greene & Mace following through and voting for the bill - they are not to be trusted), it then needs to be passed by the Senate. I guess that's possible, but unlikely. If it does pass the Senate, then it goes to Trump to sign which he is guaranteed not to do.

So while this is significant and will increase the pressure to get the files released, it will NOT actually get them released.
