'Agitprop', an old Soviet era term.

An active propaganda push across many forms of communication, aimed at supporting the people in power thus normalizing an abnormal situation.
It included repression of anything not approved of by the powers that be.
And it works. Today any citizen interviewed on the streets of Moscow will not say anything critical of Putin.

It may include stifling media that is critical. (Sound familiar? Media sued, comedians off air.)

Expect some Executive Orders making criticism of Trump and his Deplorables in leadership taboo and having some critics labelled as undesirable aliens. Or having their public voice stifled.

The reaction to the murder of CK and his funeral are classic agitprop behaviors.
