In reply to the discussion: Trump writing an "open letter" to Bondi on his Twitter rip-off site is CREEPY DISTURBING SH*T ON STEROIDS. [View all]Miles Archer
(20,345 posts)It's a safe bet to say that most of the folks on DU KNEW...didn't suspect, KNEW...that after his anointing from Roberts, he would be powerless to resist testing the limits, going full mob boss.
One must look at 79 years of history. The worst things that have ever happened to him came in the form of "cash settlements without admitting guilt"...Trump University, and the housing discrimination suit in New York where he and Fred were marking apartment applications from African Americans with a "C" for "COLORED." The fake charity. Things just got shut down, he got a slap on the wrist, he wrote a check, and immediately went back to his rotten ways. The E Jean Carroll settlement? HE'LL NEVER PAY A PENNY OF THAT, no matter WHAT. She won on principle, and she probably feels some level of vindication and "justice," but in terms of the follow-through, in terms of the money she's owed, she and her attorney both seem pretty damned sharp, and I'd say sharp enough to know that Trump will take his debt to her to his grave.
Of course he wanted it public. Bondi may be the nation's "top cop," but he had to show her who's boss. Destroying what's left of her career and life in general is a small price to pay for being "his Roy Cohn," 2025 edition. And he wanted to make sure that any MAGAt rushing to her defense would be in for trouble. He's crazy. He's Jim Jones, Charles Manson level off his freakin' rocker.
