General Discussion

All I know is that he persecuted Christians in some way (few details are available), until he became one himself. I don't think he would ever have been in a position to feed anyone to the lions. Tradition says that he was eventually martyred himself, possibly by decapitation.

I disagree with some of the things he said in his epistles, but he encouraged people to be loving towards one another. I honestly believe he would be horrified to be compared to someone like Kirk, and I thnk Cardiinal Dolan sounds like a raging lunatic.
