Robinson supposedly sent messages to the "roommate". They're desperate to tie someone else to the shooting as an accomplice or whatever.

WASHINGTON (TNND) During testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed reporting by The Washington Post that Tyler Robinson, the accused assassin of Charlie Kirk, appeared to confess in an online Discord chat.
"Unfortunately, it has been leaked that there was a Discord chat and for those unfamiliar, its a gaming chatroom online that the suspect participated in. So what were doing and weve already done is serve legal process not just on Discord, so that the information we gathered is sustained and held in a evidentiary posture that we could use in prosecution should it be decided to do so. Were also going to be investigating anyone and everyone involved in that Discord chat," Patel said.
Patel told the committee there were "a lot more" than 20 other users in the Discord chat and the FBI is "running them all down."
According to The Washington Post, on Thursday night, shortly before 22-year-old Robinson turned himself in to law enforcement, messages from his Discord account were sent in a chat with friends that said, "Hey guys, I have bad news for you all," and, "It was me at UVU yesterday. im sorry for all of this."
