We lost our 19 year old kitty a short while ago as well, it's always the hardest part of having pets, losing them. A sobering though occurred to me when we got the new kitten, our cats regularly have lived to their late teens, early twenties, and this new kitten could easily outlive me 
. Don't worry, we've already made arrangements for all our pets for when we pass on.
