I have seen it happen before. In Central Florida, the main crazy that led the charge to a massive dismantling of long-standing community development planning and standards in favor of property rights was a huffer. And after he accidentally killed himself, there was no self-reflection by those who followed him. Quite the opposite. They squelched all kinds of questions by saying that it should be dealt with compassion. Poor guy don't say anything bad about him. That kind of thing. Expect the same if it happens to Musk.
