(14,563 posts)40. A few years ago I watched a video of a post-WW-2 Victory Parade
What struck me was the expression of the soldiers who participated.
I may have misread them, but what I saw in the faces was not pride, but fatigue. They had just fought a war and just wanted to get this last duty over with and go home.
