ABC News is the most-read news website in Australia for the second month running, as four of its competitors shed over three million readers between them in 30 days.

Last month, ABC dethroned news.com.au as the country’s top news site, following a renewed focus on hard news and a shift away from lifestyle content.

The national broadcaster can boast 11.7 million readers for the month of October, according to the Ipsos iris ranking report, now more than 600,000 readers clear of news.com.au, who have 11.1 million readers, down by over 650,000 from September.
