I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: when it comes to reproductive rights and access to contraceptives, the Texas Republican legislators will do what the anti-abortion fanatics tell them to do. The anti-abortion faction OWNS the Republican legislature, and Republican politicos who seek to defy them will have their careers cut short.

I suppose there are still a few pro-choice Republican politicians here and there. In private, they’ll tell constituents and fund-raisers that they still support reproductive rights.

THAT. DOESN’T. MATTER. ONE. BIT.

It doesn’t matter because when it becomes time to vote, they’ll fall in line and vote like their anti-choice colleagues.
