the people's needs, it's whether they actually have.

If they have, there would be no political energy for populism.

Populism - a political approach that strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups.

As for *rump, he was never a populist, the only person he ever cared about was himself.

*rump was a faux populist promoted by the corporate media because they couldn't tolerate the real deal, their wealthy and powerful owners were afraid of Bernie Sanders coming to power.

They just wanted more tax cuts because despite all their vast quantities of money and power they have a greed addiction.
