Are restaurants starting to taste the same? Food distributor Sysco has been on a relentless acquisition spree, becoming one of the largest companies in food service. This consolidation means higher prices for mass-produced food made under grueling conditions.

No time so watch the video but thanks for posting. I can report that there are old, traditional restaurants within say a 50 mile radius where I live. These are in old hotels, restaurants that have been there for decades. They have great food. But many of them are owned by one company that has bought them up. Common to see Sysco trucks making deliveries to them.
