The Supreme Court’s “shadow docket” allows justices to effectively make rulings in secret without needing to explain their decisions.

The decision is published and any single justice can add commentary (whether in dissent or agreement).

Shadow dockets are essentially kangaroo courts.

The only solace I have is the cases can’t serve as precedent because they lack reasoning. They only address the case at hand. Sort of the judicial equivalent of an executive order.
