I realize what the implication is that it applies also to the piece of shit.

And I remember when Clinton attempted to wage peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians (Two State Solution) and I remember hearing that the issue that caused it to fail was the disagreement over the divisions of territory.

4. It was denying the Palestinian right of return that made the peace treaty unacceptable to Arafat

(snip)

In 2000, Arafat participated in the Camp David Summit with Ehud Barak. Arafat rejected Israel's offer because it did not include Palestinian control of East Jerusalem or the right of return of Palestinian refugees. In response, Barak stated that Israel had "no partner" in peace, and Israelis increasingly viewed Palestinians as unwilling to make peace.[16] Israeli-British historian Efraim Karsh referred to Arafat's insistence on the right of return as aiming for "Israel’s destruction through demographic subversion”.[17] Similarly, Alan Dershowitz stated that Arafat put his desire to destroy Israel above his dream of building a Palestinian state.[18]

In 2009, chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat pointed to stopping Israeli settlements on Palestinian land and a plan for a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders as the highest Palestinian priorities in peace talks.[19] Peace talks between Israel and Arafat's successor, Mahmoud Abbas, have made little progress due to the continued increase of Israeli settlements in the West Bank.[20]

There was no way that Arafat could agree to such a deal, and Barak knew it.

13. Yup, right of return was an important stipulation from the Palestinians

And there were also the Israeli settlements on Palestinian land. Those were two important stipulations. I give a lot of credit to President Clinton, however. No president since Jimmy Carter had made an effort to solve this crisis - which is now long past negotiations under Netanyahu.

2. Well we all know Maxwell's father was a Mossad asset

Makes sense that Epstein was gathering blackmail on politicians and useful celebrities. No way did that guy make his money as a "financier".

9. From Wikipedia

The Foreign Office suspected Maxwell of being a secret agent of a foreign government, possibly a double agent or a triple agent, and "a thoroughly bad character and almost certainly financed by Russia". He had known links to the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6), to the Soviet KGB, and to the Israeli intelligence service Mossad.[59]

Shortly before Maxwell's death, Ari Ben-Menashe, a former employee of Israel's Military Intelligence Directorate, approached a number of news organisations in Britain and the US with the allegation that Maxwell and the Daily Mirror's foreign editor, Nicholas Davies, were both long-time agents for Mossad. Ben-Menashe also claimed that, in 1986, Maxwell informed the Israeli Embassy in London that Mordechai Vanunu revealed information about Israel's nuclear capability to The Sunday Times, then to the Daily Mirror. Vanunu was subsequently kidnapped by Mossad and smuggled to Israel, convicted of treason and imprisoned for eighteen years.[60]

5. The near total abandonment or demonization of our 1st Amendment rights for criticizing another nation

should've been a clear sign that something was going on.

I've seen videos of masked Israeli troops siding with illegal settlers in abusing Palestinians while we have masked ICE agents illegally imprisoning or throwing immigrants out of our nation.

They built a wall separating Israel from Palestine, while closing them off to trade with other nations, we built a wall separating us from Mexico while *rump throws ridiculous tariffs around just for political reasons.

It's the same racist MO except Israelis have universal health care.

Thanks for the thread Rhiannon

12. Yes. This has been one hell of a difficult period on that score. Now fining universities millions $$$

for "not doing enough to combat antisemitism?" I'm not defending the latter, but real incidents that were not addressed or perhaps not appropriately/inadequately have been the subject of civil suits--as one might expect. But Trump's goons now want to fine UCLA one BILLION $$$$! Give me a break.

Universities are supposed to be protected zones for free speech and sharing of thoughts-albeit with boundaries, yes, but still. Targeting those with whom the administration disagrees for deportation, even if here legally and law-abiding? Ending vital medical and scientific research grants because of one protest rally deemed inappropriate? Good heavens.

And yes, this conflation of antisemitism with mere criticism of Netanyahu, Netanyahu's policies, or perceived historical inequities unaddressed--even while making clear a shared horror for that which occurred Oct. 7... Well, that is the epitome of the destruction of Article I protections.

command of a foreign nation, then the only mistake that the Q-anon folks made was pinning things just on the democrats.
How many of our leaders are spending their free time banging kids? What other things are they doing that they are subject to blackmail? Or is the threat to cut off their investments?
Again it reminds me of the party Fisk had after he became mayor in Daredevil Reborn
