I reread the Declaration of Independence Today. I was shocked by how relevant it is in 2025. (Original Post) Yo_Mama_Been_Loggin Jul 5 OP

legal document.
It has but not been used as the foundation of law.
It is a legal document since if it was not and it clearly states that it is, we would still be a colony of the UK.
It is a legal document since we recognize the signing of this document with a legal holiday.
If it was recognized as such and used in court cases as such, the line "all men are created equal" would require that anyone who comes under US jurisdiction WHETHER OR NOT they are a US citizen has all the rights defined in the Constitution. This would immediately end these illegal deportations.

The only alternative at this point would be to clean up the constitution, establish a parallel government. The republicans would rush to join as they would not be able to resist the possibility of being exempted from power. Over time, the shell of what was can be swept away. I would suggest a virtual capital until it is done.

Otherwise, we will experience continued destruction until this trainwreck finally and slowly grinds to a halt.
