At least the wiser people, including Republicans, have allowed the BOD and curators to do their thing, which has been to create the largest museum in the world. If you haven't been to DC and are planning a trip there, allow a week or so to tour the Smithsolinan, they don't call it "America's Attic" for nothing. There are amazing small treasures to be found along with the big ones.
