it's not 127 billion but 1 trillion, 200 billion over ten years.

She stated that it was 80-120 or 140 billion per year and add up to 127 billion over 10 years. I unless I misunderstood (misheard) the total amount (which is possible) it's well over a trillion.

Having not read the amendment proposed. she is offering up the "No upcode" part of the Medicare Advantage plan... meaning that this amendment ( if passed ) would only go after the portion of the money which is now handled by Medicare Advantage when the insured is covered by "Advantage" which is being upcoded by the insurers to graft money out of the government. but it doesn't go after the money that is extracted out of the insured when they are really sick ( hospital stays, expensive treatments, operations ) and the private insurance attempts to not cover the costs.

And I am guessing, it probably doesn't even get ALL the upcoded money back from the private insurance companies.

But it is better than nothing.

The amendment will fail of course.

And I subscribe to her newsletter, her town halls sound just terrific, constituents can submit questions ahead of time. I may be in New York, but I have national embarrassment Stefanik. Her rare town halls are over the phone and she blocks those CONSTITUENTS who disagree with her or ask questions she doesn't like.
