The 1% account for about 30% of all unpaid taxes in the U.S. Tax evasion by the ultra-rich costs the U.S. about $150 billion a year. But Elon Musk and Donald Trump fired the workers who audit the rich. And now ordinary workers and taxpayers are left to shoulder the costs.

tariffs will completely fund the government and services. I wonder how dumb you actually have to be to believe this. I know so little about finance, but even I could see through that!

On top of the chaos and complete breakdown of the federal system, it seems like Kansas just can't let go of the Brownback nonsense. I saw a week or so ago in a news roundup where the legislature approved moving to a "flat tax" for KS.

I give up. How does one fight such stupidity?
