Think of the lost opportunities to screw up the minds of visitors to DC! People won’t discover how messed up America is with Trump at the helm, disgustingly destroying all he touches.

removing 2 chairs and a poster board.

Like all the money for his inauguration, where is all the cash donated for the original version of this fair?

Milwaukee is a smaller city but Summerfest on Lake Michigan kicks ass!

Even P.T. Barnum could operate a fair!

It was rocken. Used to go every year. But after Tom Petty died we only went a couple more times. Once to see Foo Fighters and once to see Mary J Blige. Got too expensive.

I remember getting rained on in 1971 watching BS&T, (RIP DCT)
AND Carlin getting arrested.
That's back when they had an "Acid Rescue" tent.
It was all dirt! Our own Woodstock in the beginning.

And the stages were just boards up on concrete blocks. The bands were closer to the people. But with it as big as it is now I guess the need for real stages and concrete walkways was real. At least it's easier to wash the vomit from the drunks away.

shows a deep misunderstanding of this country and its eople, to say the least.

People have to go to work on weedays. People would rather sleep in on the weekends and then catch up on chores. Even on the coming weekend, when the crowds will be there, a lot of people are going to give it a clear miss because they'd rather spend the day with friends and family eating burnt hot dogs in their back yards, maybe going out to watch town fireworks after dark

In addition, DC isn't Iowa. DC is a very black city and they know damn well they're not wanted ar anything Fatso's crew dreams up and there went at least half of any expected crowd.

This might have been a better idea had it been done by an administration that welcomed everyone and didn't try to turn the Mall into Cornball USA. 3 miles of it is just too damned much of it, resulting in sore feat, cranky kids, and heat stroke. It's half assed Republicanism at its finest and most tone deaf.
