Iran backs ceasefire, confirms US talks set for April 10 - Al Jazeera English

Iranian officials say they have accepted a two-week ceasefire and are committed to the agreement.

The foreign minister confirmed Iranian forces will oversee passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

Tehran says its 10-point proposal could form the basis for negotiations.

It also signaled it is reviewing a 15-point proposal put forward by the United States.

The Supreme National Security Council said Iran’s armed forces remain on alert despite the truce.

A new round of negotiations is set for April 10 to seek a broader agreement.
