No one in his family has ever served in the military. His father paid a doctor to say he had "bone spurs"

So he could avoid serving in Vietnam. And according to Mary Trump's book, Junior once considered joining the military - but his father threatened to "disown" him. However he now has two sons at the right age, Eric and Barron. Surely they'd want to participate in their father's war of choice...
