'I don't hear threatening behavior:' Fmr. NYPD Lt. analysis of new Renee Good shooting video - Velshi - MS NOW
Newly released footage from the smartphone of Jonathan Ross, the ICE officer who fatally shot Renee Good in Minneapolis, sheds new light on the shooting. Breaking down the footage with Ali Velshi, Pace University School of Criminal Justice adjunct professor and former NYPD Lieutenant Dr. Darrin Porcher calls the incident “a travesty” and says that Ross’s behavior goes against policing best practices.
Porcher says that despite claims that Good was threatening Ross, “that’s not what I see in the video” and adds that the Trump administration is “drawing conclusions far too soon.” - Aired on 01/10/2026.
