Sen. John Thune on Healthcare Proposal - C-SPAN

Senate Majority Leader John Thune: “The proposal we’ll put out there will bring insurance premiums down; it will be fiscally responsible… Then we’ll see what happens on Thursday. Maybe there are some wise democrats who will decide to vote for a proposal like that.” - Aired on 12/09/2025.

that has all sorts of co-pays and caps... you can drive the cost of the premiums down.

However, the out of pocket expense and the denial of care will mean more people will go bankrupt and more people will die.

End the insurance scam... go with medicare for all. Use the power of 340 million patients to negotiate directly with doctor groups and big pharma and hospitals. End the monopoly of doctor care... make PAs and NPs professionals ( eligible for student loans ) and put a LOT more people in the direct care of minor stuff. Most people don't need a doctor for most issues.

Put a lot of claim deniers out of work... and the AI claim denial service that is replacing the people that used to do this. Put insurance executives out of work. Don't make people think the only alternative is to kill them...

Probably don't want to run expensive tests. Then the patient finds out later they have cancer that cannot be treated 6 months later. rePUKES are the main reason we don't have a European system of single-payer. They won't fix anything. Someone will just reap the riches.
