Democrats warn of 'DOGE 2.0' if government shuts down - The Weekend - MSNBC

With a potential government shutdown looming, the White House is threatening mass layoffs of federal workers if Democrats don't pass a Republican-supported continuing resolution to fund the government into November.

But many in the Democratic base are urging the party's leadership to fight back in a shutdown battle, and show more pushback to Trump's increasingly authoritarian agenda. If some of the Senate Dems repeat their Yes vote for the last C.R. , voters will be quiet displeased.

The staff at the VA hospital is leaving in droves as the DOGE cuts have undermined veterans health care and overburdened VA healthcare providers. The hospital is waiting to be privatized.
The DOGE veterans healthcare plan: Don't get sick, and if you do, die quickly.
