Related: About this forum'Do something. Pick something. Do not be silent in this moment': Elie Mystal - Velshi - MSNBC
From small protests in Trump country to fiery town halls and crowded courthouses in major cities, ordinary citizens are standing up for democracyone act of courage at a time. As Elie Mystal reminds us, resistance doesnt require grand gestures every act of defiance, however small, throws a wrench into authoritarianism.
In the face of Trumps cruelty, even acts of kindness turn out to be acts of resistance. The call is simple but urgent, Mystal says: do something, choose something, and refuse to be silent. - Aired on 08/31/2025.

(3,121 posts)3. It is almost difficult to contain myself.
I literally screamed with laughter.
First of all, the idea that Ali Velshi would sing his own praises is beyond ludicrous. You clearly haven't watched much Velshi. He is a serious hard-working journalist. He is one of the hardest working journalists on MSNBC. When interviewing experts he demonstrates humility and deference. His work is not driven by ego or agenda.
