If and unless each of us is issued a new Social Security Number. Would that fix things? Really?

(241,941 posts)2. I cannot imagine how much that would cost - to issue a new number to every man, woman and child in the U.S.
Not to mention the mass inconvenience. Most people know their number by heart, talk about confusion!
