Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are holding a news conference after meeting for high-stakes talks in Alaska. Negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump were held in a “respectful, constructive and mutually respectful atmosphere,” Putin said in a press conference after the leaders met.
“Our negotiations took place in a respectful, constructive and mutually respectful atmosphere, were very thorough and useful,” he said. Putin reiterated his gratitude for Trump’s invitation to come to Alaska. “It is quite logical to meet here, because our countries, although separated by oceans, are in fact close neighbors,” the Russian leader said. - Aired on 08/15/2025.
