Former Iowa women's basketball recruit Ava Jones says her cancer is in remission
Ava Jones, a former Iowa women's basketball recruit who has battled cancer, announced Thursday, Sept. 4, that she is in remission.
The Kansas native announced on her TikTok on July 24 that she completed her final round of chemotherapy. On Thursday, she shared the good news on her Instagram account.
"After 900 days of living with cancer, I am in remission as of yesterday," Jones wrote.
"Thankful for the people who've stuck by my side through the challenges of the last three years.
