Since 1996, the Internet Archive has worked with libraries and partners around the world to build a shared digital library of humanitys online history: capturing websites large and smallfrom breaking news to forgotten personal pagesso they remain accessible for future generations.
The series of events scheduled throughout October will highlight the memories, makers, and movements that have made this achievement possible, and will look ahead to the future of web preservation as we continue building the webs collective memory together.

Especially in these times when knowledge and information are under assault.
I love the Internet Archive, I've found it to be an invaluable resource countless times over the years.
1 trillion web pages, wow, that is amazing!
