A song: "Liberty's Shore" (thinking of Christine Blasey Ford and many others)

Hello,
This is my first post to your group. Thank you for being here for this important conversation.

I am a man, and gratefully have no first-hand experience with sexual assault. However, the Kavanaugh and Ford testimonies have deeply affected me. The topics have been in the news for years, and #metoo has brought it to national attention, yet the last week or two seem to have amplified the feelings for me. This is probably due to recent conversations with several female friends and most especially a member of my family, for whom the testimony has triggered deeply felt and personal responses related to their own experiences with sexual assault.

As a songwriter, I tend to process this kind of thing by writing. This song is a kind of an homage to what I believe will ultimately be a positive outcome from a terrible spectacle. I think the power of women will be felt strongly via the voting booth in November. But most especially, women will help wake up the rest of us to join them.

Thank you for listening.
(And please excuse me for double posting in the "Media" forum)
