Anyone else getting a white band at the bottom of your screen

when you rec a thread ?
It’s across the bottom, about 1/8th of the screen on my phone blocking text etc

I logged out to log back in, but before I logged in, the white stripe was there already. I logged in and it was gone, but back when I recc’d a thread. It goes away if I reload the page.
I think it is ad related …

the 2016 iPad, but not on iPhone13. Weird.

Took up about an 1/8th of the screen.

So I think it might be a place holder for an ad that did not display. As was suggested in the OP by dweller.

I'm using a desktop. It's just a bit over one inch so isn't distracting. It's just there.

As per usual when it comes to odd things happening on DU, this appears to be related to a change made by our ad provider which has produced unexpected results.

You may see the white strip appear intermittently while we work on getting things back to normal. It's annoying, but it's nothing nefarious.
