Trying to post YouTube clips on DU but only the links are appearing

Was able to post the actual screens with the start arrows up 'til today.

Any suggestions?

So I just kept trying things to get another link - finally hit the "like" button under the video and then copied the link in the list of my "liked" videos - and that one worked. I have no idea why.

A lot of times web sites add all kinds of information to the YouTube URL (web address), information that can prevent embedding.

The link should look like this (I put a space after .com so it would show):

https://www.youtube.com /watch?v=tYuqnUs9gP8

If the link has other info beginning with a # or another ? or an =, it might not embed. I'm not certain of this, but that's been my experience.

Right click on the Settings (cog) control, bottom right corner. Select first option: 'Copy Video URL'.

Paste here.
