Jackley says lawsuit about abortion pill access may come for Mayday Health after Dec. 19

Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO) – Attorney General Marty Jackley says he may file a civil or criminal lawsuit against an organization for displaying abortion pill ads if they are not removed by December 19.

Jackley sent the order to New York-based abortion resource organization Mayday Health for advertising information about medication abortion at 14 gas stations in 11 cities across the state.

During the interview, KELOLAND News asked if Jackley planned on going after the gas station owners as well if the signs are not taken down by the deadline.

“There would be no reason for me as attorney general to go after a businesses person here in South Dakota that wasn’t aware of it,” he said.
