The thought that occurred to me then, as it does viewing these videos, is that there is something bizarrely sexual about it. I'm sure our ancient ancestors looked at that and thought: "As above, so below."

When I was a boy in the 50s we were fed a bunch of fake folklore made up to glamorize American History and traditional work, such as John Henry, Paul Bunyan, Casey Jones, Joe Magarac, and Pecos Bill, the "super cowboy"who rode a tornado and made it rain on a drought stricken part of the southwest.
