I've done this only once before.

You take a raw egg in its shell and balance it on its base at exactly the time of the equinox.

And it stands there for about a minute. Then it starts to wobble and lays back down on its side.

either the estimate time (5:01-5:02) was inaccurate or the magnetic pull just wasn't there.

It's worked before.

Oh well. See you in six months.

How does one know what time to try this, I'm in California.

If I missed it this year, I'll try it next year.
