The Very Modest Carbon Capture Potential of the Massive Sargassum Blooms.

When one considers the mass of the sargassum, and recognizes that it represents only a tiny fraction of the carbon fixed by life forms, it gives one a sense of the scale of the carbon disaster underway.

In that sense, it's terrifying.
