(JEWISH GROUP) Video of antisemitic comments yelled at Dave Portnoy results in Mississippi State student's arrest

Starkville Police arrested a 20-year-old Mississippi State University student on a misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace after antisemitic comments directed toward Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy could be heard in a video on Friday, Nov. 7.

Video of the incident went viral as Portnoy was recording a pizza review outside Boardtown Pizza & Pints in the Cotton District of Starkville.

In a video posted on the X account @LikelyTarnished, someone can be heard saying, &quot Expletive) the Jews, (expletive) you, Dave Portnoy," who is Jewish.

The student was arrested at 10:29 a.m. CT on Nov. 10 and released on a $2,500 bond, according to Starkville public information officer Brandon Lovelady.

According to the incident report, the Starkville Police Department was made aware of a video circulating online that depicted an individual yelling an antisemitic statement and throwing coins toward another person outside a local business.

being addressed. Unfortunately what is not being addressed is what a reprehensible human being Dave Portnoy is. Nobody should have anti-Semitic words thrown at them. Unfortunately the horrible nature of who Portnoy is and the things he says and does is glossed over by his pizza review bits etc. He is scum as a human being but should not be subjected to anti-Semitism. He should also never be written about in any way that fails to call him out as scum.

The purpose of this group is to discuss issues facing Jews....all Jews. Your comments are filled with "buts". "Anti-Semitism is wrong BUT..."

NO!

This article DOES NOT have to discuss what a shithead Portnoy is because the SUBJECT is ANTI-SEMITISM and a person being attacked BECAUSE he is a JEW, not because he is a shitheel!

It should also be pointed out the student said, "FUCK THE JEWS!" Not "Fuck you, Jew!" and he threw pennies!

As a Jew, I am really tired of posters who come into the Jewish Group, especially when I start almost all of my OPs with " (JEWISH GROUP) " and spew "whataboutisms" when it comes to anti-Semitism or dictate HOW anti-Semitism should be covered when the victim is "not one of the good ones". When it comes to my posts here, NO ONE should be confused as to what group there are about to post.

As a host, I can do something about it. I am blocking you from further posts in this group.
