(JEWISH GROUP) Pomona College bans two 5C* students from campus following Oct. 7 memorial disturbance
Pomona College has identified and banned two 5C students from Pomonas campus as part of an ongoing investigation into a recent disruption at an Oct. 7 memorial hosted by Claremont Hillel, according to a statement from the Presidents Office. The other two students involved in the disruption have not yet been identified.
Pomona College President Gabrielle Starr emphasized the severity of the disturbance following an anonymous statement that was sent to multiple campus publications by individuals claiming responsibility.
Given the gravity of the alleged offense and the published statement that has raised significant concerns about similar disruptions in the future I have initiated an interim campus ban for both individuals, pending further inquiries, and in line with our policy, Starr wrote.
She added that the anonymous statement was filled with threatening, dehumanizing and antisemitic language, and stated that such sentiments have no place at Pomona.

To avoid any "confusion" and allow for a conversation about the actual antisemitism described in the article, "5C" refers to "A student enrolled in one of the five Claremont colleges (Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, Pomona, or Scripps)."
