Related: About this forum'Zionist Nazi': Pro-Palestinian protest disrupts graduation ceremony at Hunter College
Noriel Gedalia, a 70-year-old Israeli-American from New Jersey, attended the ceremony with his wife to celebrate his daughters graduation. It was simply horrifying, he told Ynet, an Israeli news outlet. Pro-Palestinian students disrupted the ceremony, went on stage, and the administration did nothing to stop it. I started filming like they do, and it nearly turned violent.
Gedalia said the protest had been widely expected, with student organizers announcing plans in advance. When the protest began, he said at least half the students in the hall clapped in support, while university officials allowed the program to continue without interruption.
The dean acknowledged the differing opinions in her speech and continued as if nothing had happened, Gedalia said. Thats what shocked me the most.
"Differing opinions". This is what normalizing antisemitism looks like.

(9,283 posts)The guy that was called a Zionist nazi has some very interesting thoughts on woke people, likes dump and thinks it ok to deport people who protest.
His daughter supported the protesters
She didnt join the protest, but she supports it, he said. She suffers from Bibi hatred syndrome. Like many Jews here, their minds were warped in school.
I think Zionist Nazi was an appropriate description...

(12,516 posts)Did you see the part in the OP that was bolded? Make sure you did.
If you want to believe the words of a dump supporter then by all means. Me I take it with a grain of salt. The fact that he wants to deport people for protesting seems very nazi like.
Beastly Boy
(12,516 posts)You know, he was a Jew long before he became a dump supporter.
Eko
(9,283 posts)I can think of many normal things dump supporters get shocked by, a good economy, a capable president, science. I could keep going but Im sure you get the point. All I said was I would take what they said with a grain of salt what they said the protestor said, which means I dont believe it but I dont disbelieve it either to make it clear to you. Like I said though if you want to believe a dump supporter then by all means.
Beastly Boy
(12,516 posts)I didn't say I want to believe a dump supporter, did I?
I didn't say anything about believing or disbelieving at all. I didn't even say I want to believe a Jew.
What makes you say I want to believe a dump supporter?
Eko

(12,516 posts)Now, if only you could tell me how bolding is a sign of approval or a sign of disapproval, or neither.
Perhaps I used bolding for emphasis, like everybody else does?
That didn't occur to you, did it?

(9,283 posts)to make sure to see the bolded words of the trump supporter cause you were what? Just trying to show us how stupid trump supporters were? What exactly?

(12,516 posts)(I can't honestly call it reasoning).
Good luck sorting this out.

It's the patently ridiculous on their face transparently fallacious leading questions whose authors know full well that they are patently ridiculous on their face transparently fallacious leading questions and ask them anyway that I refuse to answer.

(9,856 posts). . . do we automatically discount something a trump supporter says just because they are a trump supporter, even if they are correct in their assessment and statement? Isn't this what is called an ad hominem? Are we stooping that low, too?
Eko
(9,283 posts)woke culture and diversity, equity and inclusion , restricting federal funding to institutions he believes have failed to curb antisemitism, and Let the administration revoke their visas, and that Jews had their minds warped in school?.Was he correct in those?

(12,516 posts)Trump or the Jew who was quoted in the OP?
If it's Trump you are talking about, it has nothing to do with what the Jew said.
If it was the Jew, he is not beholden to what Trump had said or done.
There is someone here who certainly doesn't know what he is talking about. Or pretends not to.
And, BTW, there is someone here who knows exactly what he is talking about:
1 of 2
adjective
ad ho·mi·nem ( ˈ )ad-ˈhä-mə-nəm
-ˌnem
1: appealing to feelings or prejudices rather than intellect
an ad hominem argument
2: marked by or being an attack on an opponent's character rather than by an answer to the contentions made
made an ad hominem personal attack on his rival
Eko
(9,283 posts)You are going by his word that someone called him a "Jewish Nazi".
Of the protest he said "and it nearly turned violent" while
I'm sure that everyone just sat around when it "almost" became "Violent.
Point One that he might not be telling the exact truth.
Point two.
Hey look, a bit more info. He confronted them, what did he say to them? Why is that not reported?
Oh hey the protestors de-escalated the situation, not him.
Point Three
She didnt join the protest, but she supports it, he said. She suffers from Bibi hatred syndrome. Like many Jews here, their minds were warped in school.
Wow, look at how he talks about his daughter, she has a mental syndrome and had her mind was warped in school because she believes differently than him.
Point Four.
Ah look, more tired and idiotic words of the right that are about as stupid as you can get.
Point Five
Here he is defending dumps policies towards universities and then hopes his videos will help identify people protesting lawfully. Why does he want to identify them?
AH! Here he is talking about deporting people for peacefully protesting!!! Deporting them for what they say. For protesting legally.
Since a ad-hominen is creating an argument against a person rather than the positions they are taking and I made a damn good case showing why I take his words with a grain of salt using multiple positions that person takes it makes your claim of it being a ad-hominem hilarious.
There is someone here who certainly doesn't know what he is talking about.
and
I still dont see why you have kept an article up that is based on what a dump supporter is saying. Oh wait, its cause he said one thing that you like and you are more than happy to disregard all the rest he said for some reason.
too funny.
Beastly Boy
(12,516 posts)On the other hand, you making it all about the jewish guy is indeed ad hominem by definition.
And I don't even know what to call the crap you are making up about me without violating DU terms of use.
Eko
(9,283 posts)Strawman.
Since the majority of the "disruption" being reported is from the words of a dump supporter I think that bears merit. Especially since the only negative parts of the "disruption" was from said dump supporter. I mean half the crown clapped right? Why was there no reporting on what they said?
Again, too funny.
Beastly Boy
(12,516 posts)But, for lack of viable alternatives, I guess your suggestion will suffice:
Strawman.

(9,283 posts)Standing there chanting "free Palestine" where counter protestors say "go to Gaza, they will kill you" and the reply is "Zionist Nazi" and the guy that says that also says "dont touch me". I guess its just me but when I am protesting against killing Gaza civilians and the reply is "go to Gaza, they will kill you" when they plainly mean hamas will kill you and I am not protesting for hamas then they are pretty much not in the same world. The reporter never claimed anything bad about the whole situation except from the "go to Gaza, they will kill you" and dump is cool. So,
You did well man. You managed to post an article that all the negative parts of the protest were based on the absolutely beyond a doubt dump supporter to further your narrative.
Hope you are happy.
